Thank you for seeking employment opportunities at IIPP. Working with IIPP provides challenging and intellectually stimulating opportunities to address some of the most pressing policy issues concerning Tamil Nadu and India. In general most of our team works from our office in Chennai but there is also a possibility of working anywhere from India.
There are three paths to joining the IIPP team:
First
we recruit for specific positions within established research or consulting projects. Such vacancies arise on an irregular basis.
Second
we are interested in strengthening our analysis and consulting capacity at both a junior and more senior level (especially in the fields of energy and environment). If you are interested in joining our team and willing to help shape IIPP’s analysis and consulting work, please send your CV with a brief cover letter on what you expect from working with IIPP and what you would bring to the institute.
Third
a limited number of internships are offered. These positions are either unpaid or minimally paid depending upon the work but we endeavour to ensure a positive and beneficial experience for all interns. Interns are supervised and their activities depend on the Programme/Department they join. It can range from research work and the preparation of draft reports to the compilation of statistical data, administrative duties, assisting with event and media management, etc. Successful applicants can expect to gain direct exposure to the work and management of a think-tank. Hours are flexible. We are happy to consider applications for full-time or for part-time internships.
Our working language is English. Knowledge of Tamil is an asset.
